December 2012

So we have really got into the "nesting" spirit this month and we painted the nursery as well as put all the furniture in.

Madison Turned 2 on the 2nd so we took her to her all time favorite restaurant Vince's Spaghetti. we were surrounded by lots of family and it was really a great evening. last year at Madison's birthday she refused to eat the cupcake this year she ate 3 and asked for more. she's growing up so fast!

Last year we couldn't let Madison help with the tree she was just too little. this year she did great! she helped us put most of the decorations on the tree while we watched the un-animated version of how the Grinch stole Christmas and drank hot coco.

one of our favorite things to do every year is to walk around Christmas lane and look at all the lights. some of the display's are amazing and it was so fun to see Madison really engage in what was going on around her.

This was my christmas and birthday present this year! we finally got a 2nd car. and i have to say its very different to have 2 cars and not rely on each other for everything we do.

Christmas at my mom's this year was alot of fun! Even anthony got more into the spirit. we usually celebrate chirstmas morning right after we do our own christmas but my mom had to work really early chirstmas day so it wasn't possible. we all put our Pj's on and headed over to my mom's for dinner on christmas eve.
I love that madison really got into the ripping of the christmas paper this year!

Madison loves loves loves her auntie kelly sooooo much.

the boxes were a bigger hit than most of the gifts

Madison clearly isn't the only one that enjoyed the boxes...and that makes her the best aunt in the world in Madison's eyes.

Christmas morning we did our own little Christmas with Madison. since me and Anthony got the new car we decided that we would just fill each others stockings.

Putting Cookies and milk out for Santa. this was torture she was convinced she should have got a cookie too!

"Santa" is putting together madison's big present

In the afternoon after we do our own Christmas the "Anderson side" of my family comes over. i know its a little nontraditional but that's just how we roll. Every year we have grandma's taco's for dinner and then last year we started the gift exchange where we draw names and buy for that person only. each "family" buys for Madison and Ethan since they are little and Christmas is a very special time for them.
My very full kitchen (I love it)
 grandpa doing his gift exchange
Anthony drew Melanie's name for the gift exchange
one of Madison's favorite gifts was a sock monkey ride on "pony"

I love my Crazy Crazy family and I don't know whee i would be without them!

Last but not least we had Christmas with Anthony's mom and her fiance' a couple days after Christmas.

I just love the christmas season because it means i get to spend a large amount of time surrounded by family...and the one thing that matters most in life is my family!

Merry Christmas
Love,
Anthony, Lindsay, Madison, and Baby Dayton

Madison's Quarterly report- November

Since Amanda, Madison's teacher left we have been shuffled to a whole new company called kid power. Her new teacher's name is Shreya Patel and after talking to her on the phone i wasnt really a fan i had serious reservations about her as a teacher. however, she has turned out to be one of the most amazing teachers Madison has ever had. she's not just a developmental teacher but she has a masters in speech and language pathology and I'm amazed at the difference that has made in Madison's progression. November 2012

This was a very quiet month for us as far as travel and events. However not a day goes by that there isnt something going on around here.

Madison is really starting to getting into playing with a purpose and its so fun to watch.

well never a dull moment in this house. I got up one morning and went into madison's playroom to find this. The grout in my tile broke and the tile lifted right off the floor. we had someone come in and look at it and basically they told me that they couldn't get the tile off the floor with out breaking it. unfortunately there's no way for me to get extra tile in this color so the decision was made to remove the tiles that were an issue and replace them with random tiles. Then we laid padding and carpet in the playroom.

We went to a very special friends baptism. It was Madison's first baptism and I'm so glad we did, it was amazing to be there for this very special girl.

here's a couple of candid shots through out the month.

I'm not sure why I already feel the need to work on the nursery so since we recently finished the closet we started painting the room. we went with green to keep it gender neutral. then about 2 week later we went to order the furniture for the baby's room. we had been told previously that because we were ordering during the holiday we might have a longer time to wait for it. so we did it early. but what we didn't expect was that they handed us the crib and dresser that day. ( it was suppose to take 8-12 weeks to come in) it was raining outside, the furniture didnt fit in our car so we had to run and get a bigger car and find a way to get it in there. it was a long day and 6 hours later the whole nursery was put together and ready for this baby.

saw the midnight showing of twilight's breaking dawn part 2. at 6 months pregnant i think i must have been crazy but it was lots of fun and not really that hard at all.
