A month 2 follow

Caleb is already 2 months ...it feels like our family is complete! I don't know how we ever lived without him! 2 days after Caleb turned 2 months he attended his first funeral! This was a hard one for me because it was very sudden and unexpected! Both kids did great even tough mommy was a mess. Now that Caleb is eating consistently and well he slept his first long stretch at night. 6 hours of straight sleep will make you a whole new person.

Things to remember about this month:

He has no real schedule even though we have tried alot to get him on one

He's very unpredictable and it's hard to go anywhere

He started being more active and needing stimulation when he was awake at 6 weeks ( he can easily play in his baby gym for 30+ minutes)

He screams for tummy time

He started eating 4 oz every 3 hours instead of 2 oz every 2 hours

Still gets up once or twice at night most nights

2 month old stats:

Weight 12lbs 0 oz

Height 23 inches

Head 15.5 inches

skills I noticed this month:
  • Lifts head almost 45 degrees when lying on stomach
  • Head bobs forward when held in sitting position
  • Follows dangling objects with eyes
  • Visually searches for sounds
  • Makes noises other than crying
  • Cries become distinctive (wet, hungry, etc.)
  • Vocalizes to familiar voices
  • Social smile demonstrated

May 2013

In early may a friend of mine Joanna threw a beautiful baby shower for my sweet Caleb

Glad he got to join the party

Mustache theme...so cute

Even grandma got in on it! I love her she's so fun

The cute thank you cards i made

Not really a good sleeper like his sister was

Already needs to be entertained and he loves this thing

Went prom dress shopping with grandma and auntie Kelly

Had to get a baby gate to keep Madison out of Caleb's room

CALEB'S NURSERY

Playtime with daddy before bed

In love with this little boy!

She's a good big sister

Never wants to sleep on his back

We started potty training Madison this month. Holy cow the first three days I thought I was going to go nuts with only a 6 week old and a potty training 2 year old. After 3 days we decided to start with pull-ups instead of regular panties and although there were lots off accidents at least I didn't have to clean pee and poop off the floor, walls, and furniture.

Madison and i went to Brittany's house one day to take the girls swimming...they had a blast but Madison is going to need some practice...SO EXCITED FOR SUMMTO BEGIN

Madison did this one day while playing

Having a tea party with her baby

It only took one week for her to poop in the potty hopefully this keeps going well

He looks a lot like Madison here

We went to support auntie Kelly at her losing concert...Madison and Anthony stayed home because it was late.

For Memorial Day Brittany's mom invited us over to go swimming and have dinner we had a blast and Anthony met us later that afternoon
