This Boy had a birthday and he is officially 1 year old! This year flew by and I cant believe how much he has grown and all the personality this little man has. He is very serious and hard to make smile but when he does he lights up the whole room. He makes me smile and is into everything. he knows it too!
Here's the new skills I noticed this month:
- tries to walk with one hand held but is struggling to keep balance
- Sits down from standing position without help
- He attempts to build two block tower when mommy starts it.
- Turns pages in a book mostly just to close the book
- Follows rapidly moving objects
- Says “mama” and “dada” and he repeats "hi"
- Comprehends the meaning of several words especially no and his name
- Repeats the same words over & over again
- Recognizes objects by name
- Understands simple verbal commands and loves to ignore them
- Shows affection by giving us kisses all the time
- Shows independence in familiar surrounding and usually even in unfamiliar settings
- Clings to parents in strange situation sometimes
- Searches for object where it was last seen especially a paci
He also got a new schedule the day he turned 1 and I have to tell you he was soooo much happier.
7:30 wake up and have breakfast instead of a bottle and then a cup of milk
10:30 snack time
12:30 Lunch and a bottle of milk
1:00 Naptime
4:00 Snack time
6:00 Dinner and milk
7:00 bath time
7:30 Bottle and bedtime
