#72 Make a wind chime

we had sooo much fun painting the windchime. It was the first time I actually saw Caleb use his fine motor skills very appropriately.

here's a pretty good picture of him actually attempting to paint it...which he did a pretty good job of.

here's the finished product...we stashed it away to save for great grandma's birthday in november

#97 Make your own cheese

We decided to try and make our own cheese. We went for mozzarella hoping it would come out and we could use it for pizza.

The cheese didn't come out perfect in fact it was a little oddly textured buuuutt it still tasted like mozzarella cheese.

#95 play with chinese jump rope

it was fun for the kids to get their Chinese jump rope in the mail. They played with that silly piece of string for several hours together. It was the first time I saw them play together and not fight.

**caleb has learned to remove his pants and takes them off whenever he wants...sorry for the 1/2 naked child**

#19 Attend a fair

The OC fair has a once a week drive for different things for example if you bring 5 pieces of clothing then you get in free or if you bring 5 used books you get in free. so we packed up the kids and headed to the fair with alot of books to donate.

 Ready for the fair
Watching the pig races with auntie kelly
checking out the kids building and looking at all the cool art projects
He loved the little kid play area
a ride on the carousel with auntie and daddy

probably her favorite was the bumble bee ride!

we had a little ice cream before we left and then headed home.

#64 Have a bake sale or lemonade stand

Our lemonade stand AND bake sale turned out amazing. we advertised alot with flyers at church, to neighbors, on facebook and instagram. and even though it was in the middle of the day we made $67 to help buy toys to donate to the children's hospital. I learned tons of things for next year like to do it a little later in the day so we can make a little more and the people were super supportive since we decided not to keep the money but to donate it to the children's hospital.

#17 Visit an arboretum

This was my first time to Fullerton arboretum...thank goodness its free! It was beautiful and had amazing architecture!

We invited my sisters and kelly's friend brittany along for the adventure. ready for an adventure...
We loved having auntie Kelly along for the adventure

Some of the beautiful architecture we saw
on our way out we saw a lake with some ducks and a few fish

the ducks were a little friendlier than we realized and Caleb and Madison had food in their hands which the ducks were more than willing to come and get from them so we took off. after we stopped and got lunch and then headed home it was a wonderful day to spend time together.

#46 Visit sister knecht at the fullerton institute

Gotta love how many people kelly got into this picture. it was sooo fun going up to the fullerton institute to visit Camille. Madison even started to sing for her. and we took her an awesome piece of chocolate which makes everyone happy.

#105 Attend a concert in the park

It wasnt the greatest music ever but we didn't really have anything to do except go watch our movie in the morning so I suggested we go see the concert in the park and have pizza for dinner. the kids loved being out in the fresh air, dinner was awesome, and for dessert I talked anthony into a funnel cake which was HUGE! We invited my mom, Kelly, and Amanda to join us. it was a great time to spend as a family.

#67 Go to a Swap Meet

the swap meet was a fun quick trip for the kids ... they had tons of animals and shopping booths I probably could have been there forever had it not been for the insane heat. On the upside it was only .50 to get in and we loved stopping to get some shaved ice.

#89 Re-purpose Something

We re-purposed a milk jug into a bird feeder that sits right outside the window in my kids playroom. We even got really Crafty and the poles and the strings came from the homemade kite we made so we re-purposed that too. It took a few days but we have birds coming quite a few times a day as long as our cat is not in the back yard sleeping

#68 Plant a vegetable garden

We planted our vegetable garden REALLY late in the season so I stuck with some veggies that are easy to grow and have a short life to sprouting so I could get them in the ground quickly. so we decided to plant pumpkins, spinach, and Bib lettuce.

Madison helped me put all the seeds in their starting pods

I have to admit that Madison did a great job because one of our pumpkins sprouted like crazy! so he was the first to go in the ground I cant wait for them to get bigger!
