Pumpkin Painting and Trick or Treating

we tried to do our annual pumpkin painting for several days but there has been lots of rain and this is an activity I prefer to only do outside because its a huge mess. But its waaayyy better than giving my kids a knife.

I was really impressed with Caleb's ability to paint and his dexterity with the paint brush. Not what I expected.

She loved getting to paint her pumpkin.

After naps we got the kids dressed up and headed to the trunk or treat at the church.

Caleb was OBSESSED with the pumpkin game! he played this one over and over.
 Caleb found his spiderman twin!

He won a football player at the fishing game
showing off his prize with his grammie

madison spent her entire evening with her grandma teresa. they played games together and did the cake walk together.
Ready for trunk or treat with daddy!

Nothing like going trunk or treating with your best friend...these girls love each other like sisters
After trunk or treating the kids were not done or exhausted so we stopped by my grandmothers house and trick or treated on her street

after we were done trick or treating there we headed to our house and we went up our street and down my moms street next door. After the kids were done with those they were beat! so we took them home and snuggled them in bed and they passed out.
It was probably one of my favorite Halloweens because both kids really got into it and understood all that was going on.

Annual Halloween Party

Burnt sugar is now my favorite way to put together cookie and gingerbread houses. they stick together easily and dry within seconds and become hard as rock.

All the kids in their costumes decorating their spooky cookie houses
 My sweet little princess elsa
 Elsa and her bestie cinderella
 Spiderman didnt need any friends
however, caleb loves his bestie brayden and all the candy that came in the spooky house bag
Caleb was soooo sugared up after the party he didnt sleep for almost 2 hours after his normal naptime.

Cal Poly Pumpkin Patch

She loved picking her own pumpkin and for the very first time she was able to pick it up all by herself.
Caleb on the other hand probably tried 10 different pumpkins and couldn't pick up a single one! But it was fun to watch him try to be like his big sissy.

We loved that grammy came to spend the Saturday with us.
Caleb loved running through the kids hay maze and mommy could barely keep up.

grammy offered to let the kids go on a horse ride and she would wait in line for them.
Caleb wasn't too sure at first but he eventually got into it.

Madison on the other hand loved every minute of it.
