Anthony's 27th Birthday Celebrations

My mom happened to be out of the country for Anthony's birthday so we did ALOT of celebrating for his birthday. On his actual birthday I surprised him with lots of fun gifts. this year he got a nike+ sportswatch from me and lots of different sports stuff from the patriots and the angels (his favorite teams). then for dinner we met his parents at tony's spunky steers for dinner then came back here for cake and gifts. we also celebrated his mom's birthday at the same time. First birthday surprise was a very special breakfast

Madison and Caleb insisted on helping daddy open his gifts

Cake and presents at home

After my mom got back from Europe we got my side of the family together for cupcakes and presents. A tradition in my family that was started several generations back was greasing the nose. no idea what the tradition means but its always a fun picture.

Caleb actually destroyed that cupcake and could not have been happier.

Madison had a chocolate dipped marshmallow cupcake.

Happy Birthday babe I couldnt love you more!

Letter of the week field trip - C is for Caterpillar

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Today we took a trip to Amy's farm in chino. They had this awesome event planned for little kids all about the very hungry caterpillar. They were late getting started and we have had problems with this place before about poor directions and being ontime. However even though they were running late it turned out to be an amazing oportunity for us to walk around the farm and talk about the animals.

to start off they had all the kids sit down and they had several fun songs for them to sing, and a few wiggle activities to do. I was surprised but Madison actually tried to participate and sing some of the songs.

after the songs we waked over to and they let the kids all find rainbow swiss chard leaves with caterpillar holes in it. they had each of the kids pick 4 leaves, 3 with holes, and 1 without. after we picked our swiss chard we waked over to the animal pens and fed several animals including a turkey.

after we fed and pet all the animals they walked us over to a large field and passed out these cute caterpillars made out of pool noodles and duck tape. They had several activities for the kids with the pool noodle caterpillars. First...

they told them all about the life cycle of the caterpillar. Then the helped them act out the life cycle of the caterpillar.

 Feeding the caterpillar

Creating the cocoon for the caterpillar.

breaking out of the cocoon as a butterfly.

Caleb was totally into the caterpillar pool noodle...Love that kid he is so adventuerous

After the caterpillar life cycle they had a craft for all of the kids. Madison did a good job doing most of the craft on her own. they only part she couldn't do was closing the hole punch. After the craft they read them the book the very hungry caterpillar. My kids know this book well ...we have 3 different copies. it was a great Saturday with my minnions and well worth the $15 for all that they got to do.

Letter of the week field trip...B is for Bubble

bubble fest was something I promised Madison last year...however two days before it started mommy had Caleb. so we never made it to bubble fest last year. so this year I made it a point to go to bubble fest since bubbles are one of Madison's true loves. I thought for sure this was going to be AMAZING. sadly I was quite disappointed considering the hype the science center puts on it. there are only 3 activities for the kids to do if they are 3 and under. However if you have a membership to the science center the "bubble exibit" is free and you only have to pay $5 for the bubble show for kids under 3. Next year if we decide to go I plan on taking my kids extra cloths. Madison was soaked from her feet to her knee's and it was not warm that day.

Even Caleb was pretty interested in the bubbles.

Every one of the little kid jumpers and slides were soaking wet which was not helping Madison's wet pants situation. On top of all of it they require you to take off your socks and shoes.

This boy was sooooo happy to have a little freedom and jump on the jumper.

He rode that horse for a while and was able to balance all by himself.

Trying to put madison in a bubble...she got quite a few laughs with this one.

Laser bubble show...totally worth the $5! its amazing all the things they can do with bubbles
