#92 Make your own bird feeder

Caleb was more of a watcher with this one he let me help him "paint" the peanut butter on for a short time but after that he spend the rest of the time licking the peanut butter off his hands which was just funny
this was a really good activity for Madison's fine motor skills.

she's not enjoying this at all...look at that face and trying not to smile. Stinker

she couldn't wait to roll it in the seeds which surprised me and made me extremely happy since we have had so many sensory issues with her

# 15 Make butter

This is always a fun activity that we just kinda squeeze in one evening. I looked up some more detailed directions and it came out much better this year.

Madison is now walking around the house saying "shake shake shake"

she can be such a character

# 37 camp out, #38 Make Smore's, #43 play in a splash pad, #102 Go on a nature scavenger hunt

So we decided this year to take the plunge. A friend of ours invited us to go camping so we decided the kids could handle it and go for it. when we got there we set up the tent and camp and then headed down to the camp grounds splash pad.

He looks pretty comfy doesn't he?

After the splash pad we headed back to the camp site and made dinner. we kept dinner simple and didnt cook. we had sandwhiches, pasta salad, and bags of chips.

I just let the two kids run around the campsite while we got their dinner started and then we ate after they were done and down playing.

after dinner we took a walk and went on our nature scavenger hunt to find several items that could be found while camping.

After the nature hunt and picking up some Ice for our cooler we headed back to play a little and then make smores.

making smores went wrong for so many reasons...Madison freaked out at the fire, Caleb was exhausted, and both kids were way beyond tired at this point. However after I made one for Madison and she sat down and ate it she was much happier and more cooperative but still really ready for bed. so we took her and caleb got them ready for bed and tucked them in. we sat for a short time outside the tent and listened for them to get quiet it took a few minutes but they were out quick. Then we headed back to the adult group but when we arrived back at the fire our chairs and other items had been moved out of the group off to the side and the circle had been closed so we decided to go back to our campsite and stay there the rest of the night playing cards.

When it got late we headed off to bed and Anthony found Madison panicked and puking in the tent. so we cleaned her up (most of it was on her) changed her cloths and put her in my jacket (lesson learned bring Madison extra jackets). we failed to pack pillows so it was a pretty wrestles night for us all and needless to say i was exhausted the next morning. Thankfully breakfast was easy. I took a dozen donuts, a cut up fruit tray, yogurt for each person, and banana's it was perfect and there was no cooking involved!

after breakfast we packed up and intended to take the kids to the park but we were both beat and exhausted so we headed home instead. It was a great weekend and I would absolutely do it again NEXT YEAR.

#2 Jump in a bouncer

We went to Anthony's cousin's daughters first birthday party over the week end and they had a giant bouncer for all the kids to play with. there were so many kids to play with at the party and at least half of them were related to my kids by blood and for many of them it was the first time meeting us.

Caleb liked the bouncer better when there were only a few kids in it ...and he couldn't stand in it at all but he was still giggling when it was done.

Clearly my 3 year old thought this was the best party ever. i'm not sure she ever came out of that bouncer except for her first true love FOOD.

#103 Play with waterballoons

Auntie Amanda showing Caleb how to use a water balloon against her brother

Love that madison is trying to throw the water balloon so hard she was off the ground for this one

 the water balloon gardian

the water balloon fight ended in the 3 of us adults running around chasing each other with water balloons and all of us being soaked head to toe...I haven't laughed this hard in a long time and i'm sure grateful my sisters are all adults now (yay high school is behind us)

#101 Have a picnic at the Park

My dad was in town for my sisters graduation and he came in a day early so we decided to take him to the park so he can play with the kids and spend some time with all of us kids. we were lucky Amanda, Kelly, and myself were all available to spend time together. A picnic in the park allowed us to play at the park longer.

# 62 Go Bowling

Took Madison bowling with a friend today. She had a ball. I thought it was going to be alot harder but she actually did a really great job and she also was almost completely independant in doing so which makes me one proud mama. she did a great job taking turns (which is not easy for any 3 year old). Caleb even got in on the action...and he was totally into it! man I love how adventurous he is.

 is it my turn?
