6th Anniversery

We have been married for six wonderful years. There have been ups and downs but there have been soooo many more ups than downs. Life is truly good. We have two kids, a beautiful house, and anthony is in the middle of trying to start a career as a correctional facility officer.

For our anniversary we went whale watching and then went and got dinner at a place called jo's sushi.

Whale watching was amazing and we were really lucky to see tons of dolphins and a blue whale who gave us quite the show.

 waiting for our boat!

we rode right by the queen mary

Look close to the boat and there was a dolphin swimming next to us
 dozens of dolphins

the blue whale spouting at the surface of the water
the whale came right up next to the boat and then just hung out there for almost 10 minutes while we watched

After we got back to the doc we headed for a quick walk because after that ride neither one of us wanted to jump back in the car. we headed to get dinner at a little sushi place I found on yelp. In all honsety we have no idea why this place had 4.5 stars on yelp. it was terrible and all of their sushi is premade and they just add sauce and serve it to you... the California rolls were dry and none of the sushi was cold. it was really disturbing and we learned a lesson this time never eat sushi at a place you don't know! we still had a great time together and its been a long time since we have spent that much quality time together and it was amazing to reconnect.

First Day of Preschool 2014-2015

Madison's first day back to preschool this year went very smoothly. I changed her schedule this year and instead of her going 3 days a week for 1 hour each she goes 2 days a week for 1 1/2 on Wednesdays and 1 hour on Friday. She is getting bigger all the time and I was so proud of how well she delt with going back to school especially since all but 1 of her teachers were changed.
Over the summer Madison has begun to use multiple words in a sentence but is still struggling to speak clearly and her fine motor skills are still very poor so that's where we will be focusing until she is given new goals in November before her birthday.

LA County Fair 2014

WE LOVE THE FAIR...its just a fact of life...in the 6 years we have been married and the 8 we have been together we have only missed one fair and that was because we got married that year and it just wasn't feasible to go to the fair. With kids the fair has become even more fun and its picture heaven for mommy!

This year we went the very first day it opened. We always get season passes but what a mess...they didnt have employees trained completely yet, lines were insane to get in (so long madison peed her pants waiting to get in), and it was SUPER hot. once we got in though the kids had a ball. tons of stuff for the kids to do and they loved every minute of it. Each time we go I only take them for a few hours and we only do a couple of things so that we can have fun all month long. here's a picture overload of the whole month.

They had an exotic animal display this year and I'm pretty sure this was the kids favorite mostly because they could touch almost everything...including a snake (I think they are nuts).

The kids building was lots of fun they had a fun super hero theme this year with lots of look, touch, and play things for the kids to experience.

the last thing that was a big hit for the kids was the dress up area. Madison chose to be tinkerbell for quite a while...its the longest i've ever seen her wear a dress up costume.

We even made it to the fair with Madison's bestie! the two were inseparable the whole day.
