Nursing and Fire Extinguishers
So, i had my first week of nursing school this week and it was well interesting to say the least. we got our uniforms Monday all of mine were extremely small and they will only take back two cuz i had to wear two and once you wear them they are yours for life! :( i can live with the shirts but not the pants they dig into my skin and create sores and bruises not fun. so this weekend i have to go and find the exact same pants from an outside source DEPRESSING. Monday was so slow and unorganized it was incredible. Tuesday wasn't bad they were better i have two teachers as of right now Mrs. wash (she scares the bageebies out of me) and Mrs. matoyer (nicest person if you don't piss her off with your cell phone-someone learned that the hard way this week and it wasn't me lol). Wednesday we did a special class on CPR for the professional rescuer and apparently I'm legally obligated to help someone now if i find them and can be prosecuted or sued or both in the event i get caught leaving someone at the scene of an accident or elsewhere without helping them until other emergency personnel arrives. Thursday we got to play with fire extinguishers. apparently as a nurse you must have special training and actually discharge a fire extinguisher in order to be considered safe to work in a hospital. Friday is not a mandatory school day but they call it success Friday so i went thinking i could get help with things i don't understand on my homework. WRONG we spent four hours talking and talking and talking i couldn't concentrate to save my life i doubt i will do it again it was a total wast of four hours. and now i have a bunch of homework to do I'll keep you updated at time goes on!
