Halloween Dinner

so I thought it would be super fun to have a themed dinner for Halloween. every year we do trunk or treat but every year there is some crazy insane issue with the dinner they provide. one year it was that they decided to not use tables. another year they did hot dogs with no ketchup, mustard, or anything else. it was way more fun to have dinner at home with all kinds of themed dinner food.

Up and Movin Therapy Trick or treating

We have been taking Madison to up n Movin pediatric therapy for 6 months now thankfully the insurance believed she had a medical need to get help with speech. Her teacher ms. Brittany was wonderful. She was kind, patient and loving with Madison she was also really good about keeping her under control and actually working on speech with Madison. For Halloween they took the kids trick or treating around the building the other kids in the pictures were in the same time slot as Madison but with different teachers. She did great she was even attempting to say trick or treat which didn't sound even close but she attempted more than one word and that made a huge difference to us.

Playgroup Halloween fun and boo bash

I recently joined a new play group. I used to run one but in all honesty I got tired of the backlash and the nasty comments I was getting so i quit providing activities right after Caleb was born. I had been looking to join someone elses group. I met this group one day at a park when i was on bed rest right before Caleb was born. I didn't join right away because i knew i would need time to cope with having two children instead of one. We love this group. its super diverse (so im not stuck in the Mormon bubble and I have the opportunity to meet new people with different circumstances then mine) and I love it. the kids are all super fun and most of the women are consistently active.

FHE Pumpkin Carving with friends

We were running late this year carving the adult pumpkins and so when a good friend of ours invited us over for an FHE to carve pumpkins we packed the kids in the car and went to have a little pumpkin carvin fun. 

Madison really surprised me this year she was totally into watching daddy carve the pumpkin. I have tried year after year to get her to touch the pumpkin "guts" and she finally did it this year and was comfortable with it. After she was done playing with the insides she promptly asked me to clean up the "mess"

I carved the minion pumpkin and it was tough but fun

 

Madison was convinced she carved the pumpkin minion and was so willing to try to carry the pumpkin...silly girl!

7th heaven

This boys first year seems to be flying by! I'm sure he was just born yesterday. A couple of milestones are really starting to emerge and show very strongly. Here's a few of the things he has learned this month. I love this boy more every day. He never fails to blow me away with all he does.

• Sits without support and he doesnt lean on his hands for support at all
• Bears full weight on feet and loves to jump any time
• Bounces when held in standing position
• Still doesnt Bear any weight on his hands when lying on stomach
• Transfers objects from one hand to another all the time
• Bangs objects on surfaces especially to get attention
• Able to fixate on small objects and if he has his way he will roll to get it too
• Responds to his name
• He Has taste preferences and he will let you know it too
• “Talks” when others are talking
• Climbs on things with help
• he is starting to try and feed himself and he eats pieces of food instead of a lot of baby food he's eating a combination of both.
• he gets into tons of stuff basically anything that

His schedule and basic habits haven't changed any.

 

Caleb is growing up far to fast ... October 7 months

He gets into everything especially the trash cans 

He thinks he's as big as his sister

Starting to climb on things

Can sit in a big boy seat at restaurants

And he will talk to or yell at the baby in the mirror he also kisses the baby in the mirror on command which is the most adorable thing ever

Discovery Science Center...Halloween Time

this place gets more and more fun with the turn of every season. and now that Caleb can sit up pretty well he can get in on the action too.
